Re: Turn over rate.
Thanks lads,
The inlet for the pump is located a foot below surface so very little solid waste goes into brush chamber wich is pulled regual.
I`m thinking of getting an Blagdon anphibious P8000 1800 gallons an hour, so it turns the pond over twice an hour.

Turn over rate.
900 gallons pond.
I`m pumping into a big brush chamber to aerated K1 and wanted to know if it`s better to have a faster turn over rate than once every 1hr 25mins for the media i`m using, if it`s best to go faster, up to twice an hour is that ok ?

Re: Best type of filter setup.
Thanks Bob, I looked at the cost of BHM and after I got up off the floor I think im going to go with Vortex packed with brushes having water enter the chamber a one quarter up from base into aerated K1, taking water from the upper quarter of the pond and regual bottom vacuuming. Re: home made quarantine tank
Hi craigmason71
I have a free standing tank I use for quarantine, it`s size is 5.2ft x 3.6ft x 2ft, it has holes cut for in, out feeds and over flow and a hole in base for bottom drain, £40 to you, if you want pics let me know.
Russ.

Re: Building koi pond
Use solvent weld pressure pipe (grey) from bottom drain, dry test all pipe, fittings and mark with pencil before you glue in place. Concrete thickness depends on soil type, brown wet clay, hard grey clay, sandy soil. Also give this [url=http://www.koicymru.co.uk/const2aa.htm0]Method 3 paragraph 3[/u...
