Hi Craig,

You can make a QT out of anything that will hold water and is fish safe all you have to worry about is that there is enough room and filtration

How big is the tank and how was you thinking of filtering it :?:

To be honest mate that's really not big enough. Why not look at getting a cheap collapsible paddling pool to use as the QT?

The smaller the tank the quicker parameters will change, not good. Go for as large as you can, If it means waiting a bit until you can get a larger tank then i would wait. The last thing you would want is to buy new koi and have trouble keeping them. I've recently bought a 300 gallon tank and would not like to go any smaller than that, also give the filtration a lot of thought as this has got to be spot on with smaller volumes of water.

Hi craigmason71

I have a free standing tank I use for quarantine, it`s size is 5.2ft x 3.6ft x 2ft, it has holes cut for in, out feeds and over flow and a hole in base for bottom drain, £40 to you, if you want pics let me know.

Russ.
