A couple of people on here have said about the easy pod, I had a look at the EA site, seems to good to be true? does anyone have experience with the easy pod?
As a stand alone filter does it do what it says? I have read on this forum about putting a vortex in front?
But then would a multichamber with vortex not do the same thing? confused?
Just another quicky, I have read about seperate filters and pumps for skimmers but can not afford that at mo, so can a skimmer be plumed in on the pipe work for the bottom drain before it enters the filters?
edit, just read all the post's again and this is what andyb suggested - any more details please?
It may take time but it will be worth it in the end! I think you will find that the easy pod does what is says on the tin and provides both mechanical and biological filtration-how ever i would think with your stocking it may not be able to cope until fully mature as it will be close to its limits with out any further filtration. If i had a pond of that size id probably opt for the eazy pod as well-ea filters in my mind are one of the best filters out there. I would think you could add some biological filtration for only a few quid very easily-personally id go for fluidized k1.
With regards to the skimmer- it is very hard to get a bottom drain and skimmer to run effectively through a filter-you will struggle to get the water to flow evenly as water will take the path of least resistance and also lower the flow from the bottom drain which could cause problems.
If you plan for it the extra filtration later is not a problem. I wouldn't worry about something like an extra vortex. it will work OK without one as well!
Hellow peeps,
Getting closer to the big dig, patio going down this weekend hopefully
I have been looking at the hollow blocks for building above ground off the concrete collar to a height of 2.5 - 3 foot, can anyone tell me if this size would be ok http://www.buildingsuppliesrus.co.uk/sectio ... =&b=&guid=
If I have read it right, I think they are 6" wide or will I need to go for the 9" wide ones from somewhere else.?
It will be built up with just these blocks, then rendered on outside to finish off?
Sorry for keep asking silly questions
Thanks, Andy
