Heat Exchanger

A silly question my pond has been heated roughly 5 or more years.Should i clean my heat exchanger at all???? Pond seems to heat ok just wondering if exchanger could silt up at all??

If so is there a right or wrong way to do any golden tips appreciated.

Hi Graham,

i have heard people say they have had a build up of scale in the units in hard water areas :idea:

Well that would be me,so is there a knack to clean or is it a straight replacement?? (Looking for the cheapest option as ££ Short at the Mo)

Graham,

Just disconnet it and have a look.

I have cleaned the one on my GOP a couple of times, never found much in there, so dont worry too much!
