As allways thanks for your advice. At the moment I am doing nothing. I have fitted RO plant again, just i ncase I have any metals in my supply water. There is no sign of parasites and koi are all feeding well. I was planning on just leaving well alone for the moment and glad that you have confirmed this. I will try and maintain heat as much as is afordable on a 5400gallon pond. At the moment I am managing to stay above 20 deg. Just wondering at what temp healing will stop taking place. Thanks once again for reply. Best Regards Dave

I folks. A long time since you guys have had an update from me. All koi are doing well and the sanke is still showing signs of healing although very slowly with winter temps now at 15 degs C. Sorry no photos as koi are under covers. Now wondering if the wound will flare up again in the spring when temps are on the up again. I will maintain temps at 15 degs over winter in the hope that more healing will take place. I will probably give them a short winter without food through febuary whilst I am on holliday and then up the temp to 16 degs C.
While I am on I would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & a happy new year especially to all who have helped and supported me throughout this last 12 months.
Best Regards Dave

Hi Dave,

Glad its on the mend and it will always take longer when the temperature is cooler and it can sometimes seem forever before its healed.

I would keep your eyes on it at spring time for sure as you can never be sure what happens as the water warms up but fingers crossed all will be fine :D

Ho Ho Ho and all the best :D :D :D

Hello anyone who has been following this post. Here are the latest photos of the afore said sanke. From what I can see and feel the wound is now completely healed over. There is still a bit of redness which I would have thought is expected due to the depth of the wound. Hopefully This will disappear in time. Duncan if you are watching your opinion is always much appreciate and thanks again for putting me onto the CT treatments.Temps now at 21 degs C
