Drilling holes in Certikin skimmers...

Post by netsukekoi »

I built the pond and thought I'd worry about nice details like overflow and auto-fill later. Well, now is later....

The Certikin skimmer has 2 nice pipe connection points just for the purpose though I can't get to them as I have a steel beam in the way.

Anyone had experience of drilling a hole in a Certikin? I don't want to try it if this stuff is the hard plastic that splits as soon as it sees a drill bit, but conversely, if it is easily drillable then it is my ideal solution.

Thanks, Martin

Martin.

You can drill through the side and place a 22mm waste in the side and attach it with something like gold label. It is tough stuff but easily drillable with a sharp hole cutter.
