Hi All,
Well a bit of an update Tank now up and running with a couple of koi in there just to get things maturing,i transfered the old water from old tank also so hopefully that will help.Found one of my old box filters gave a bit of a clear out for now as only a tempory measure,working just fine was wondering if i could put some Bakki Media in there Wondered if it will work??? Temp wise 300W aquariam heater currently holding between 21/22 degrees though sure that will increase when i have insulated properly.

I'd get the BHM in there and it will help a little with some maturing. The shower will be finished this week anyway, so will drop you an email when done. May be worth moving some BHM over from your main pond shower, just to help things along a bit, replacing it with the new stuff. The new shower only needs circa 20 kg of BHM anyway, so just 'borrow' 5-10kg from the main pond shower.

At last all finnished,thought i would let run for a month or more before updating.Bob Hart made me one of his showers which i filled with BHM from my main shower on pond,i had to place pump in tank as there was only a drain of sorts at one end and i wanted to keep this free for cleaning.This makes me a little extra work by having to syphon the crap out thay gathers by the pump.
Anyway heated to 25 degrees or a little more on sunny days,i have just moved over some koi i intend selling at a later date so growth wont be so good,but i had a little measure up and the Shiro Was 30cm now 32cm And Gin Rin Kohaku was 18Cm Now 20Cm.I feed only twice a day at present pellets morning and paste food (when I Bother Mixing)afternoon. Is the growth down to BHM i ask myself quite frequently or is it high turnover lots of air,and high heat or a mixture of all 4,Or could it all be in the mind

Looks great and obviously working. The magic of these small tanks and fast turnovers through small showers certainly seems to make growth automatic. Looks like it's happenning to you as well, so well done. Just keep the food going in and see how big they get!

What flow rate do you have 
as im thinking about setting up a 1000liter QT/growing tank in the shed and and didant know what kind of flow rate to have and what king of filter would you recomend the tank has a bottom drain and was gonig to use that and then return the water with uplift love to know what you think
