Following on from my 'Filter Help!' post, I was wondering what pump should I use for a gravity fed Eazy Pod?

Re: Gravity Fed Pod
I have an Aquamax ECO 4000 on mine however I have seen some retailers package it with an Aquamax ECO 8000
Perhaps it might be better to go by the official stats on the Easypod which indicate a maximum flow rate of 10,000 litres/hr 2,200 UK gallons an hour.
I guess it also depends on the size of the pipe you are using to feed the Pod with as well as to which size pump you opt for.

Re: Gravity Fed Pod
Hi, the pod is rated at 10000 litres max flow rate per hour, so any pump less than a 10000
but firstly you need to know your pond volume in litres. then your flow rate will be between 0.5 and 1 times your volume per hour. so if your pond is 6000litres you need 3000 to 6000 litres and hour, an aquamax start 5500 or similar
, always err on the larger side to allow for friction losses in the pipework
