Re: Koi Muppets On Tour
We've just arrived in our first hotel in Okayama. Long flight and then train journey, but it will be worth it.
We've some pictures which we will load this evening.
We are moving onto Mihara tomorrow, probably in the afternoon.
Will update more as things happen

Re: Koi Muppets On Tour
Hi Everyone
And welcome to Japan!! Yeha!!!
After a serious "shall we, shall we not" day, we have decided to head south. We had decided not too, then changed our minds, then ummed........
The reason? The trip from Nagaoka to Mihara is about 1100 km, a journey of 6 hours. That's bad enough, but the cost? A whopping 460 pounds. But I sat and did some calculations, went on a brilliant website http://www.japanrail.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and taking the cost of our travel to Tokyo off that we would have done, going in unreserved seats, etc., I got the additional cost of our trip down to about 360 pounds for the two of us. Still a lot of money, but it is fate that we are all here the same time, so we we went for it.
We are planning to leave here at 12.34, getting to Mihara at 6.34. If we cannot make that train, then it will be an hour later. Mike has booked us a room at the same hotel as the rest of the muppets.
So, Kerrrrrrrrrrrrrmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!! See you lot tomorrow!
Miss Piggy will play mama-san (A mama-san, or mamasan, is a woman who works in a supervisory role in certain establishments in East Asia, typically drinking places) to the boys while she is with them, and ensure that they behave themselves to my standard!

Re: Koi Muppets On Tour
Hi Annatte (and Glenn),
Glad you've made the right decision and we need looking after Mamasan!
We've arranged a little trip for ourselves for tomorrow, going to Momotaro's. Daisuke is picking us up from our hotel in Okayama at 9am and I guess we'll spend the day at the farm looking at some of the cheap Koi they sell
Hope We'll get dropped of near the railway station and will then head down to Mihata
. You never know we may end up on the same train, so look around when you get off and are heading for the hotel.
See you tomorrow than Mamasan, and Glenn.

A few pictures for you

Train station at Osaka. We used the ticket machines and all followed the same way of doing it - so we all ended up in different carriages not sitting together - what a load of muppets!!!! Had to go and see a man to put it right. Here you can see a few of the lads on the left of the picture.

Des asleep on the train, that boy can sleep. He had about 6-hours on the plane just before this!

Sitting in the hotel reception waiting to check in, something caught my eye and a heron flew in and landed on this roof next to our hotel where there is a river,

A few beers in the hotel. This hotel is called the Central Okayama and is a great place. Not large of extravagent, but the rooms are large and the service brilliant. Had these beers and was also served up some fish and avocadoes in little bowls for free. Th guy on reception knows Mike and was able to set up the Momo trip.
