Stu,

As long as the floor is flat to the drain, just glass up to it and fold it down into the drain by a couple of inches. You'll find that if you cut the glass so that it overhangs the drain by a couple of inches, by cutting a hole inthe glass, then wet it with resin and when wet just run the roller around it. It will soon mould itself into the top edge of the drain and you'll get a great finish. Do the same with the second layer and you'll get a good finish.

I usually rough up the plastic with a disc cutter, just lightly but you'll get a good rough finish to the plastic which the resin will key to better.

Hi Stu,

I also think some people actually use some Black Label or Den braven sealant as well round the drain with the glass.

Stu,

If it aint dry, the glass wont stick. I dont know what black jack is at all. If you sealed the bottom, wouldnt the moisture creep up the walls? You can glass onto a 'damp' bottom though. The glass wont fully stick, but the water pressure would hold it down. You'd need to fill up within a few days though, as glass can very slightly shrink. Especially if it cures quickly.

Hi stu, when i glass around bottom drains, if it is the type with a loose flange, i sandwich the glass between it as if it were a liner. if you do this before you do all the base you can (greentrim )the waste and make a nice neat job.
