after seeing a few posts and questions about how to keep k1 media in your filters and stop it from going to waste or threw pipe work causing a blockage i'd thought i'd share some ideas of my which will hopefullly work for you and has been proven!

1) when you use a hole cutter to make way for your inlets/outlets of the filter for a tank connector to be fitted simply use the 'disc' you've cut out and drill holes in it smaller then the k1 and place it back inbetween the connector and the connector flange ( you simply place it back in the hole you've just made!!!)
2) when you go and pick up your dinner from the local indian/chinese take away ask if they have any onion bags thier binning? ( usually orange in colour) these make a great gaurds against k1 being lost and can be fitted over tank connectors, in them, any where you can fix them as there very versatile and are of a soft nature! i know these bags come with different size 'nettings' but will usually do the job without you fretting over loosing your valuable plastic pasta!

give it a try and prove me wrong- what have you to loose apart from something thats as trumpy as petrol!!!!!!! :
