i would personally say, ditch the oase 11000 and use a two stage filter that works without any pressure. even make it yourself....

thanks for the advice, the thing is, i am a total newb at the moment and just need pointing in the right direction, so far i have my main items.....

1=1 airated bottomdrain
2= oase 16000 + 10000 sequence
3= EA 300
4=1proclear 55w uv
5=80ltr hiblow air pump
6=oase 11000 filtoclear
7= all the ballvalves i need connections and fittings + medium

the thing is i need to turn over more water not alot, i am around the 7-8000 gals thinking of adding a vortex, which 1 im not sure (guidance please)and you said build my own filtration, not that advanced yet :wink: the pond isnt totally constructed yet so just thinking of the feed and return holes need for the finishing of it. any advice or things to do will be great.

Hi,

I think you will defiantly need a bit more filtration as the Nexus may not be able to cope on its own depending on the fish load.

How about another form of filtration on the skimmer like a bead or shower :idea:
