starting the setup of new filter

Post by Russ Little Pond »

I`ve finally got a 50lt bag of K1 and in the next few days i`m going to pick up a vortex chamber (29" x 40") and call at the steel workshop for some off cuts of perferated stainless steal sheet for covering in/outlets and for filter tray, i`m also getting a few concrete blocks for the base, also I will need pipe work.

Hi Russ,

Sounds like you have a plan and please keep us updated and some pictures...we love pictures of pond and fish stuff :D

If you use stainless steel it has to be 316g the stuff like they use in the food industry otherwise it can rust. You can use perforated plastic sheets which work well as this is the type i have used in my filters
