Sounds like you have it all planned out all i would say is if you can try to do away with the brushes its a bugger to clean them especially in the winter.
Could you not have a vortex first which you convert to be a static K1 and then change the multibay around a bit
Keep your eye out for a Nexus as they do come around from time to time.
