LOL David

'Resemble' that there wasnt any Internet about when I built my pond/filters, that's why I'm always 'twiddling' with them to try and get them to work better. I think the comment was aimed at me by the tall fellow!

Danny,

getting back to the subject. I would say it is possible to use with a skimmer as the skimmer will take out the large stuff (leaves, frogs etc) and the only thing that will get pass are things like bits of food and the remains of a few rotting leaves. As the pump can be plumbed into the skimmer line then I don't see any problem with it.

The pump itself is cheap enough so it won't hurt too much if it doesn't do the job. The only thing I would want to know is what wattage is the pump as some pumps are cheap to buy to expensive to run!!

good luck.

David.

Dont do it!!!!!!!!
Just changed my skimmer to an Aquosis overwall skimmer but before that had an in pond skimmer fed to a small none solids handling pump and even after I put my wifes flour sieve into the basket to remove all but the fines I ended up cleaning it out every 3/4 days, tried jap mat, big mistake clogged up within hours which is why the wifes sieve just had to be used. Get a solids handling pump even an aquamax which I am running my skimmer off now and life will be much better.
