OK so i am getting bored doing some paper work so started looking at some pictures of the fish and thought i would post some so you can see how they have devolped...or not
No just me messing up the pictures i have now changed it but you cant see much difference i need some better shots, with a bit of luck will get some once it starts warming up
Hi Gazza
Looking good, and all showing sign's of coming on well. I sthe top shiro the one who bought at the south east show? It is looking really good, but to be honest if yu are ever fed with any of then I will give them a good home Looking good, I don't know what you are doing but it seem's to be working.
Andy - The first Kohaku picture is as it left my place, after a few months of a forced diet. If it moved around it found food and therefore grew a bit, but showed a belly. Second picture reaslly shows it off well.
I visited Gazza's pond last weekend and all of his Koi look superb. Since Gazza changed over to soft/low Ph water, the skin on his Koi has improved dramatically. The top shiro has really grown and those pictures just dont do it justice.
But remember, Gazza really knows his water stuff now, tests everything, keeps good records, monitors his water 24/7 with a bank of electronic testers. Gazza has an ORP of 370 (was only 369 when I was there though!), which just goes to show how clean his water is. Result = Koi quality.
Yes there was something that just struck me with this fish and the amount of Sumi that can come through is amazing. Its also a female...well i think so lol but not growing as quick as the mail Shiro which is strange....unless its changes sex lol.
Again the picture does not do her justice and i hope to get some better ones soon but i am pleased with her
Nothing special, but I felt sorry for this skinny little waif when I saw it in an end of season bargain tank. I liked it's marking and at £6.00 I decided to take a massive gamble!!
I keep a close eye on the clearish patch that can be seen just behind the shoulder sumi, but it doesn't look sore or get any worse so I suspect it's some sort of scar tissue.
