had a spawning session in the pond a couple of weeks ago and have been getting the water back to normal i.e ammonia ,nitrites . have to admit dont measure tds very often but my present reading is pond = 355 , top up water via purifier =250 .i dont consider to be a heavy feeder to my koi so what is the best way to reduce tds reading. what range is considered ideal .

Re: tds
Hi Ron,
This will depend on your filtration and how often you clean it all and how much water you change.
So to help reduce you could clean out the filter extra and change more water and you should see the TDS reduce.

You will never get the TDS lower than your tap water unless you employ Reverse Osmosis on a constant trickle in trickle out basis, then you can start impacting the 250ppm you started out with and you could get it down to sub 100 ppm but it depends how anal you want to get with it and how deep your pockets are
as for your actual reading its not that bad considering you start out with a minimum of 250 ppm
