phenoxyethenol in winter
hi all can you use phenoxyethenol in low temperatures not heated pond was at 4 the weekend but temperatures are minus at the moment at night so could be lower then 4 now will it still be effective at these temps all the best paul

provided its not frozen on you, 2 phenoxy has a melt/freeze point of +10c
be careful its not really recommended to be putting fish out at 4 c this is a very low and besides if your treating an ulcer you will get no healing till the water heats up to at least 12c and the immune system kicks in ,so you see there's not a lot of point to it

hi duncan ponds only 16 months old had problem after problem every parasite going mouth rot fin rot ulcers lost 4 to ulcers have 2 more with the start of ulcers so dont want to lose any more thought if i topical treat it may help till spring arrives pond and filter are spotless fishermans been helping me with out his help i would of lost a few more looking into heating at the moment thanks for replying all the best paul
