Hi Kim
It was fantastic meeting you again after about 5 year in the wilderness Bob is doing a good job on you pond, I have picked your K1 up for you so that I can give to at the next Southeast club meeting
If anyone wants any K1 let me know and I will get some for you the K1 is brand new but shop soiled for £25.00 for 50 litres at that price I am not making a penny out of it

Blimey Pete that was quick
See you in a couple of weeks

Re: Kim R's new pond build
Bob was here yesterday to do some more to the pond

A piece of guttering put in place to allow airflow to the air brick

Insulation then placed over it

another view of the insulation

18mm structral plywood then fitted

plywood fitted round the skimmer and very neat job done

Window size can now been seen

Bob chamfering the window

All covered up to protect it from the rain

Re: Kim R's new pond build
I am sure Bob will tell you more about what he has done, but from where I was standing it looks very good, fitting the sides has made a huge differance, and seeing the window now is amazing, and for some reason everytime Bob comes to do some work on the pond the sun shines. I felt so sorry for Bob yesterday as those pieces of wood weighed a ton and he had to lift them all on his own, I think he must have some super powers
Next week we are hopefully fitting the liner and laying the base (at last something I can help with

Hi Kim
Looks good,I have a question for Bob,will you have to put a metal frame in for the window?as the wood might warp.
Regards Geoff

Re: Kim R's new pond build
Hi Geoff,
The inside of the window frame will be fibreglassed along with the rest of the pond. The glass then will be fitted inside this, so I can see it moving anywhere at all.
Hopefully base next week, then fibreglass the following week. Along with fitting the filters into place, it 'could' all be running very soon!!!
