packing it all in

Post by Duncan »

hi guys

i cant put up with this any more its too upsetting i would be lying if i said it wasn't this latest is just too much from a drunken old tramp and hobbyists i dont even know or have spoke to but seem to have some axe to grind

http://www.themtherekoyas.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1246

so im selling my chemicals up and koiquest will die in august when the renewal for the hosting comes up

so like it or not im laying the full blame if you want to call it that for my exit at the door of this site and the extremly good taste and manners they have showed me and my work

its been good but everything comes to an end

thanks

Hi Duncan this is very sad news,I have been a member here from the start and have come to consider you as a very close friend. It really pains me to think it will all be no more,I suppose I should be thankful for the time I have spent here and for what I have learned from you. This is a great loss to the hobby but I understand how you feel and that this decision wont have come about easily.
I don't know what else to say lost for words really, keep well my friend.

Dunc,

I understand how your feeling, I just wanted to say that they really dont warrant the satisfaction of this level of response, as you say, one extremely bitter 'has been' (he causes more trouble in the hobby than any good that I see) never mind the ego that is ripping off the history of koi-quest.

I guess you dont need the business from the chemical factory, and hence the decision to let it go, but I have to say it again, another great loss to the hobby.

Good luck with whatever else you decide to do next, and thanks for your help to date.

Hi Duncan

Dont let the bastards drive you into the ground, I have been a member of koiquest for a few years now although I did not post that often. When you started up koi ultra zone I felt protected from the so called koi people who just like to attack anything you say to do with koi (so called koi experts) in your little bubble I felt protected.
As for the chemical factory this is devastating news, they are the best products on the market, I suppose if this is going to be your descision I better stock up, I just dont know what I am going to do now to get my chemicals.
I do hope you have a re-think Duncan and can carry on with the great work you are doing for koi hobbyiests.

Hi Dunc

They may have nicked your work mate, but don't let them break your spirit and resolve - they'll consider that to be their victory and the alchies and ar***oles on there will be gloating and crowing about it for years to come.

You have helped so many of us over the years, including many of those who now choose to mock you I'll bet! You have always been here, and will hopefully continue to be here, for the long haul. As others have said, just don't read their crap. Hard as it must be for you to do, ignore them totally!

Remember the words of the great Mahatma Ghandi:

“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

Chin up mate!

I echo everyones feelings on here Duncan........ please don't read it, please don't close ultrazone......although I do understand if you choose to do so. :(

It would a sad day if the ultrazone closed, a very sad day....... there are lots and lots of people on here that can really only go to one person when the s h i t hits the fan........Duncan

Try and keep your chin up mate, they're not even worth mentioning.

Dunc

The choice will have to be yours as whether to pack-in or keep going. That may seem harse but it's the advice I give to anyone in this situation. We can only influence you by our signal of support.

I have no idea why some people on that forum continue with this thread and the posts. I can tell you that one individual poster once on a subject simply won't desist and will continue to dig and poke. The only course of action there is to ignore unfortunately and not look.

I do hope you continue, but as I say the choice has to be yours.

Hi Dunc;
I can understand why this sort of apparently personal vendetta has got you down, but giving it all up will be a great loss to not only us, who have had the experience of your knowledge and training, but more importantly for the young people just starting. Where am I going to point them to, for advice, knowledge or to get reliable treatments?

There is a tremendous level of support and respect for you out here, more than you will ever know.

It will be a sad day for us all if the bullies, because that is what they are, win.

I know the sort of attack you have been under is bad for you and affects all your family but if there is an ounce of fight I urge you to continue your excellent work and simply ignore the bullies. Like all bullies they will eventually give up if you don't respond, and move on to somebody else.

Duncan,

These idiots are really pissing you off and I can understand why you are doing what you are.

You have worked really hard for the hobby in the background generally, you dont have the ego of these people. Many of us that know you well know you as a quietly spoken, well mannered, very clever person, who goes out of his way to help people. You do most of this for nowt and it probably costs you hundreds if not thousands to just keep doing it. I know from speaking to you that the book and chemicals that you sell, dont even cover your costs and you provide the best chemicals by far.

I personally will be at a loss without Koi Quest, it and yourself have helped me so much in the past

Hi Duncan, I can only echo what everyone is saying. The wan*ers will win if you close koiquest down which is what they want and I'm sure you are made of stronger stuff than that. Don't look at the forum which is just a load of crap anyway, then you don't know what they are saying and who cares, especially that old piss head that is on there and has lost his respect in the koi world which is why he has probably sunk to the depths and frequents that forum. I know how you feel but as the saying goes, when the going gets tough the tough get going and that is what you should do, get tough.
DON'T LET THEM WIN!!

Regards

Glenn

Annette seconds what I am saying except she says, when the going gets tough the tough go shopping, but she would LOL

Yes a sad day indeed

Duncan of course the decision is yours and only you can make the call but it will be a sad day when a bunch of people who think from thinking they are smart and trying to make them selves smart just by trying to belittle peoples work well i cant comprehend to tell you how this makes me feel.

I just think back many years from the first time i spoke with you and to think of what i and many many people know now compared to where i and many would be without your work. I then think about all the people who are out there and coming into the hobby as i did will never have the benefit of your work and Koi Quest and how many people this will effect once closed down.

I thought with the Zone on the go things would settle down and we could get on with the good stuff and along thew way i know people would gain help and experience and to think that is now going i am gutted.

I wish you and your family the best as i am sure you know and just wish there was some way back from this as i hate to see such a good guy put down by a bunch of wankers :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

I've got to agree with all the others. The ultrazone is somewhere we can really enjoy decent debates and information and i hope you reconsider.
