Firstly ... a big thank you to Duncan, who operated and removed a piece of rogue bone from the jaw area of the Showa and Bob (Kayoss) who kept me company on the journey to and from Dunc's. She's back in the pond and swimming around merrily.
Below are a few of the pictures charting the operation, I hope you find it interesting. We also noticed a small area of infection on her chest, but decided to leave well enough alone. I will remove the stiches in about two weeks. My pond is currently 14 and will be raised over the next few days to 18.
