bl**dy tumour again
for the 3rd time in 2 years i have lost a koi to a tumour. a few months ago it was looking a bit lumpy thinking it was eggs but in the last few days it swelled up and had dropsy so done the right thing . took a few pics to confirm tumour.

so i dont have to worry too much then. thought that it was a high reading that might have a negative effect on koi somehow .

had a spawning session in the pond a couple of weeks ago and have been getting the water back to normal i.e ammonia ,nitrites . have to admit dont measure tds very often but my present reading is pond = 355 , top up water via purifier =250 .i dont consider to be a heavy feeder to my koi so what is t...

hi thanks for the replies. at the weekend after 3 weeks of not taking any pellets i decided to salt bath the koi. coincedence or not the next day the koi returned to feed on pellets .as for water checks they are all spot on and as said the koi seemed ok in every other way .must admit the next idea w...

suturing of split fin seems to have been successful.using the super glue as well .so the next question is how long do the sutures stay in place before being removed .

hi , netting some koi today and had a jumper. the koi has split its pec fin in 2 places and its not far from the base. what is the best way of trying to repair the damage. water temp is 72 f . or should i leave and hope it repairs in time.

ihave a chance of buying a used aquadyne 2.2 bead filter. iam after opinions please from users of this filter.what size pump needed etc. was going to go with the econobead until this offer has come my way. aquadyne is twice the price brand new so i guess they must be good ron

hopefully i will be uprading the pond this year . going from pump fed to a gravity fed system. i have a multibay with a cetus sieve . thinking about getting a nexus and using the cetus sieve in front. does anyone use these two together.any advice on how best to work the two together would be welcome...
