well all the blocks are laid now thank god!!! that took some time. i have also just recieved a oase 15000 pump and 2 55w tmc uv lights (i wont be using them both) plus loads of pipe, fittings etc all thanks to my gramp. next job for me is to get the ground behind the pond leveled and concrete base d...

all filters and equipment will be going behind the pond, hopefully out of sight, i am planning on putting a pergola up and some kind of wicker covering across the back to hide the area behind the pond
(thats the plan anyway)

it will be around 1300g with out filters. I think the filteration will be 3 vortexs and i think i have a multichamber as well now. My dad and my gramp has kindly give me the 3 vortexs 12000 lph pump and a 55w tmc uv, i also think he will have a multichamber filter which i havent seen yet. I am lucky...

well i thought i would put a few pics up of my build so far: as you can see im a messy worker :D also, everything i have dug out has been moved with 2 buckets, i have steps going up to the top of the garden which means i couldnt use a wheel barrow :( 9 tonnes of dirt out so far, about 3tonnes of bal...

thanks for the fast reply, i hadent decided on the shower media yet, maybe just alfagrog or something, i am a marine and trop keeper and complete new to koi filteration so any info would be cool. this koi world is a complete different thing from a glass box in me living room lol

to be on the safe side you could put a earth stake in the ground and just dangle the cable in the water, then if there is a fault the rcd should trip. if there is a slight water leak on your submersable it will only get worse over time which means maybe a bigger electric shock!!! good luck in findin...
