Simply Koi and More Koi

hi all,
with the cost of fuel going up and up i am wanting to insulate the walls before fibreglassing rather than render.
do you guys know if its possible to glass over kingspan or is there an alternative insulation as i have been told its not possible?

If you mean the stuff with the silver on it, yes you can glass over it. There are cheaper alternatives though, although I dont know where to get it from.

I used 1" Polyurathene foam sheets,

Dead easy to fix and saves the cost of rendering. If you are not intending to heat the pond then maybe an idea not to insulatethe base to get some free heat from the ground

Matt from GRPlining glassed my pond over the foam lining, even with a curved shape it gives a great finish even on a curved pond..

Does anyone know the best way to deal with gaps caused by joints in the sheets? Can some form of tape, expanding foam or car filler be used>

Any gaps fill with resin and are bridged with the glass, perfect finish, no need to tape or fill the cracks.

My main pond was complex curves but even with these the finish was excellent. In a simple box then very easy.

I did my growing on 1000gallons with no problem but a pro will always achieve a better finish and have less waste!
