Hi Carl
Thanks for the extra info - I did realise I'd need the transformer, adapter lead and enclosure box thanks.
When those buttons are described as "sealed", does that mean they're waterproof (as in can be exposed to rain)?
The appearance is not too important as it will be either in the shed or under the decking that covers my filters. But if the button is waterproof, I could fix it through the perspex window of the shed. That way, the box of tricks can be inside in the dry, but it can be operated from outside (save me having to remember the key to unlock the shed when I go out to feed the koi) It's an age thing!
Cheers

Bob,
Yes sealed means waterproof. Spec says they are IP66 ie dust and water tight (but not submerged!) About the best you'll get without going really special and certainly good enough for what your suggesting.
NB:
IP66 definition:
first numeral 6 = "Totally protected against dust "
second numeral 6 = "Protected against strong jets of water e.g. for use on shipdecks - limited ingress permitted "
Cheers
Carl
ps don't think it's an age thing, just a bloke thing......
