Just a little update, haven't had a lot of time recently, managed to run and bury the waste pipe feed up to the pond and a water feed

After a few checks for leaks in the speed fit we have a feed.....

The channel for the pipework has been measured and dug out.

Cemented the pipework and sealed all the joints with gold label for double security

Looks great Jason, are you fitting it in place over the weekend?

What about filtration, any more decisions yet????

You can always use what you have got now and change it later - I'm good at that!!!!!

Bob.
If the weather holds out it may be in the hole on sunday, as for filtration my head is frazzled with ideas at the minute, no doubt i will change my mind again, its seems we have that in common...

Lee.
thanks mate, will be nice to pop out to the garden for a ciggy and watch the fish

Gazza.
I was never in a rush really.. :D As long as it was in the hole for spring, mind you, i am probably behind schedule now...

Gerry.
I can't wait to see the Cuttlebrook shiro's, i was down for helping out at the BKKS day with your good self but this holiday to Lanzarote has collided with the dates...

Right then back to the build.....

After shall we say a small hiccup when the bottom drain pipework snapped away from the drain... I set about the repair by firstly using goldlabel and then fibreglassing over the outside of the drain to add extra strength..
sorry no pics of the glassing as i didn't want to embarress myself..

Today i finally managed to get her in the ground with no problems ( yet...fingers crossed ) I would of had it in sooner but this week i have had to cut down a few trees that sit behind the pond site and the falling place would of been on top of it, so i moved it out the way til i had chopped them down..( by the way lads if you don't have one already get yourself a chain saw...what a bit of kit they are... :D )

I have put a drain stopper in to check the external pipework and have filled the drain to see if it drops, just watched it for half hour and no loss of water yet so i will check again in the morning...

Fingers crossed.......

Only problem now is i go to Lanzarote for a week on monday when i could really be cracking on with the filter..might let the wife and son go on their own....
