Hi
I have just purchased a monitor from monitors direct and wondered if anyone else has had experience of these for continual monitoring. They do not look waterproof/resistant, so can they be used continuously outdoors if in some kind of housing?

Hi Shaun
I got an orp meter of them and it was not water proof so i got a plastic container with a lid on it drilled a hole at the bottom for the probe lead and has been fine.

Hi Dave
Thanks for that I thought as much. I will have a look round for something like a weatherproof junction box with a clear lid.

Hi
Finally managed to get the PH monitor sorted, problem was trying to find a suitable weatherproof box that didn't look like a tuppaware container.
Anyway got the box from Toolstation (exact width), the height was determined by the probe BNC fitting. Cut out the box front to match the screen, fix in a piece of perspex with polyurethane sealer (to make it weatherproof), then fit monitor and wire up. The probe has been placed in the 4 gallon tank that follows my vortex/easy.
See what you think

Hi
Kit comes complete with calibration sachets to make up fluid. This is the link to their website [url]http

I ordered mine from their e-bay shop as the monitor and postage was cheaper.
