Hi Guys
As you know you are all welcome to come around to my house to have a look at things. I will try and get some others to open their ponds for you to see. Maybe not any more ponds on Friday but possibly a few on saturday.
Think around 8 ponds within 10 mins of ******.
Hope to catch up with you all !!!

ps Plenty of beer in stock !!!!

Please keep posting info about the day out chaps. I am at work on the Friday but do normally get to knock off quite early although heading down from Sheffield to Burton may mean I will get there just too late.

What we also have to watch is for those with a distance to travel you know how bad the traffic is going to be with it being a friday and the run up to xmas as well....

Would think the run-up will be okay, but getting back could be an absolute nightmare ---- with lots of businesses shutting early afternoon and everyone making a run for it. Oh, well we'll have to run the gauntlet!

I am coming from Brighton way, anticlockwise round M25, to M1.

Tom,

Blimey Brighton to Derbyshire!!

BTW what time are we planning to get up there for, nice and early 10:00 am?

Where are people coming from? I am in North East London, bottom of the M11. Anyone from around my area making the journey and needing a lift or anyone fancy a break in the journey is more than welcomed.

David.

Well about 15 miles north of Brighton, and it's motorway most of the way --- of course M25, M1 aren't exactly known for their "speed" at times! T

Tom C you need to be going clockwise and pick up the M40/M42 for the quickest route. Haven't read if you are picking any one up. Stil think the M40 would be quicker to go due to roadworks on the M1. Watch out for the speed cameras as you join the M42 off the M40. The first stantion and the last stantion "alledgedly" have an average timed speed camera on them so don't speed from Jjunction 4 passed the NEC. Info from the local AA man back home

I agree with Jules, i am a regular commuter down your way and we avoid the M1 like the plague mate, M40 is quicker by a mile....

Ah, yes, I did mean clockwise ! I'm an diot  Given I was born and grew up in the Midlands you'd think I'd know better, wouldn't you! Thanks for tips on M40 v M1, and speed cams.

At present, I don't know what car I'll have - wife's estate or my compacter model (realistically 2 seats). But can offer at least one lift if anyone hits my path.

Regs, Tom
