If I make a back and bottom and either sit it on the side of the pond, or just glass it to the pond edge, the bottom tier could just have a slot in the bottom/side and cascade straight out. David (dho) - yes the mould has rounded corners and a 10 degree slope on all 4-sides.

Once I've made what I need anyone can have the mould - or perhaps I could sell it on ebay - LOL

you can make me a set of showers that will equal us up on the chinese hat I made for nothing

Did a little more at the weekend, made the third tier and fitted the support bars to the bottom two. All 3 now stack togther nicely.

Adapted a lot of the idea's from everyone and decided on drilling 8mm holes and insterting some 8mm stainless bar across, 4" from each end. Glassed over the ends of the bars, which were shamferred on the edges, on the outside of each tier.

As you can see I'm in no hurry, it's taken me weeks to get this far, amongst a few other jobs along the way.

I've decided the bottom tier will be glassed into a chute which will exit into the pond. The back of the chute will go the ful height of the shower, forming a full height drip/splash tray. Might make this up on Sunday, well at least start it.

This is how the pond is currently run, the old stacking boxes, which work very well. At the other end of the pond is a full width aeration pipe, which tends to push the food under the boxes and supporting wood struts. I'm hoping with the shower on the side wall (behind the boxes) the pond will look more open and the food will be more visible 'to me'.

good idea with the chute and splash guard, why not include the sides as well then you could just make a flat panel for the front that clips on to encase the whole shower and a little hat for the top LOL. if your using the plastic media tray stuff you might want to add an extra SS bar across the middle of each tray as i've found they tend to sag over time.

The bottom of each tier, has a 10mm (roughly) lip around it, for the mesh tray to sit upon.

The stainless supports are fitted at the top of the bottom two tiers. If you look at the pic of all 3 stacked, you can see the places where the additional glass was added.

I'm going to play a bit with the chute/splash guard, I want to make it easy to lift off the top two tiers from outside of the pond. I know it doesnt need to happen very often, but it will be useful to have them easy to remove.

Attached below can be seen the bottom chute I've made up.

Made from marine ply, which will be fully fibreglassed.

Bottom tier just slots into the chute, with a 1" gap under it. This will be fibreglassed into the chute so it becomes a part of it.

So the water is going to come out the bottom of the showers and then slid off the chute into the GOP i think that will look nice when its done

Did have to go back between Christmas and new Year and spent most of the rest of the time drinking and eating

I glassed this up today though, pictures next weekend!
