Hi All,
My mother in law is babysitting my fish while we move house, i have currently got three box filters on the pond which are clogging up constantly. My poor mother in law is cleaning the filters. So i thought id have ago at building a k1 style filter to save her getting wet whilst cleaning the filter. The filter has 25 litres of k1 in each chamber and is run off a hi blow style 70litre air pump.
Cheers Andy

Great stuff, as Gazza said it's so easy to make your own K1 chambers and there are so many different ways of doing it. I have 150lts of K1 both fluid, static and some in a shower, it's great stuff and so easy to clean!
Your DIY job is also neater than mine!

Hi,
Thanks for the blue peter badge! Im really impressed with how it works-k1 is great stuff, the biological stage looks like its maturing nicely-turning a light tan colour and is slightly less bouyant! Gazza you were right its easy once you get going-want to make another one now! K1 gets bloody everywhere though!

Nothing will convince me that K1 isn't alive

I keep finding bits of it all over the garden, even in places where i've been nowhere near with it!
