Duncans Ulcer treatment

Some time ago I was lucky enough to win a couple of prizes off Duncan which included a bottle of ulcer treatment. Now I have found a koi which has picked up a couple of wounds underneath which she may have picked up during a recent bout of gill flukes and costia. Fortunately it don,t look too bad so thought I would give her a coarse of Kanamycin ( Which I have frozen from last year) and will try using the ulcer treatment which I got from Duncan and did not have a name at the time.I am wondering if I just use this instead of mercuchrome or does it seal the wound as well as disinfects. Please advise the best way to use this best Regards Dave
