Any Tips for superglue?

Had an accident with a fish Friday, jumped from a vat..

Managed to revive him after a good while.

Collateral in terms of scale loss on one flank shouldnt be a problem but we have two full splits in the tail.

I have sutures, never had great success with superglue, even drying things out well have found it falls off after 24 hours..

Any tips appreciated?

Thanks

Dave

dave any chance of a picture or two

you probably need to suture and superglue, and a good idea is to drop a dab of glue where the suture goes through the tissue to stop the thread pulling holes in the fine tissue

so I would suture and glue down the length and at every point where the thread goes through a tiny dab of glue would beef the tissue up

Quite a mess..

Proposed plan of action was treat, isolate, make sure I have some hardness in the water and then CT and salt at 1/2oz a gallon..

Yep 100% my fault, new import didnt know the character of this lad, but no excuse - I should have secured the cover more securely ... it must have taken a look at what was in store and taken offense ...

I need some needlework classes ….this is how it went; learning process so hit me with suggestions.

Hard part was just how dry to risk getting the tail..

At 21c, salt at half oz a gallon loads of air and as much CT as I was prepared to gamble with..

Doesn’t particularly like it but a fiesty Koi by nature..

Needs must..

First time at stitching - but there is one heck of a good book that gives you a few clues.. left to my own I would have been tack stitching...

Flank of the fish was as bad, if not worse ...but whilst I did the darning, Diane was doing her duties on that...
