Ive got one fish in the QT that is plastered with these and they seem to be spreading rapidly and are now on a couple of other fish.

Size wise about half the size of an adult Gill Fluke, immobile except for the mouth.

Mag on the clip increases just after the 3 minute mark.

Any ideas would be welcomed.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks Duncan

If they overwhelm the fish...?

These are appearing at 100+ on a slide on one fish and numbers are increasing.

Time to bring the numbers down?

Hi Dave,

Yes i agree with Duncan and funny enough many many moons ago i also did a scrape an found these and some actually can look like flukes and people sometimes think they have flukes when in fact they don't.

hi

if you have hard water i think a healthy dose of Chloramine T would thin these out say 5gm per 100 gallons

if that dont do it a PP dose would be called for

Ithink thexse can also become "overpowering" if you have another underlying problem with the kois health,
So although in themselves tehy are nothing, It is wel worth doing some extra scrapes (Though sounds like you are doing that already)
Just keep a close eye.
I had similar, and couldn't pin it down till overnight they were swarming with costia,
Just lost 3 and am trying to save the rest... Got some very poorly koi ATM,
So Like I say, keep checking... And a full dose of PP, may not be a bad idea.
I know most say don't treat till you know what it is, but a dose of PP will not kill em, and may do some good.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks Guys

There was a tad of Costia in there 10 days back, PP sorted the C but the Rotifers walked through it.

Will move the water hardness up and see what impact a jolt of CT has on them.
