Cleaning media after severe bacterial infection

Morning guys after a bit of advice.

Recently we have had a severe bacterial infection in some small koi that we was looking to grow on. Been heavy on the salt & CT and heat to overcome the issue.

Now it is getting close to the point that my pond at my house will be up and running and i was looking to bring back the 50kg BHM from the grow on setup.

Last thing i want is to bring over a bacterial issue into a new setup, can someone suggest what i can do to fully nuke the media?

Many thanks
Graham

Grahaam

jet wash it clean then dry it out finally place it in the oven mate at gas mark 150 for a hour or so that way you will get wahts residing in the core of it

that should cover it

Cheers Dunc, i'll do just that then have to make sure missus is out at the time not sure she will be too please with her range being used as a media steralizer :D

With old K1 that has been sitting in a vacum pack for 12 months would a strong pp or CT dose be ok?

Thanks Duncan.
