Simply Koi and More Koi

hi all,,
my chag has come out in some strange like bruse's ! they are under the skin/scale as such and havent broken through.
a very gentle carm fish so i wouldnt say she's knocked herself.
all water param's are spot on,yet something does seam to be bothering a few of them,yet scrapes are all clear..
anyone seen anything like this before on a fish ?

Yes from the pictures this could be some kind of bruising which you can get on fish and comes up dark on Chagoi. If you say they are acting strange just keep an eye on things making sure the water is spot on and all filters nice and clean,water changes etc etc.

See how they go over the next few days and is there anything that has changed in the pond recently

Odd, though it may seem, that appears to me to be maybe a pox variant. Looks at the centres and you see some evidence of "pox". That or it's rubbbed itself very well against something!

the only thing ive changed in the pond a few wks ago was my type of purifier cartridge,im now useing one of Ann Telfords,as i have a very heavy metal content in my tap water...

i remember your post now carl,thanks,,,looks very similar indeed,its all under the skin like a bruse.theres nothing in the pond for her to bump into apart from the bttm drain and pond walls,yet ive never seen her jump or flash.she's still feeding well so will keep an eye on her and report back...

hi all,
just an update,,seams to be getting worse to me !
looks like its now spreading onto her head,and maybe the original marks getting deeper in colour !
its still under the scales/skin and all feels normal to the touch,maybe its some kind of a blood disorder/infection,thinking along the lines of dialysis for her next !!!!!!!!!
shes still feeding well and swimming around happily,yet looks like she's gone 10 rounds !
all seams settled in the pond and the rest of the koi showing no signs of anything !

my ponds well shaded with a pergola and borg polycarb,so doesnt really get any stronge sun light..
its defo a strange one eh ! she's the only one in the pond showing these symptoms,so she's on her own with this !
maybe ill drop dunc a pm and ask him to have a look..

I was looking back through the archive and couldn't find and end to this thread?

Does anybody know what the final diagnosis was as it looks strange to me and I would like to know the answer.
