Hi Guys,
As some of you will know i run an RO due to having rubbish water and was out messing around and changing over my pre-filtration and every now and then test my TDS so i thought i would see what it was as it can vary from time to time.
So how many of you guys test your TDS and what is it ?
Anyone want to have a stab at what my TDS is ?

I've got a TDS meter with my RO unit that measures incoming (mains) water and product water TDS. Mine old house's usually used to be around 135 going in (goes up to nearly 200 occassionally - I assume when they mix water from different sources or add stuff to the water). New house has much harder water unfortunately, around 230 mark apparently.
You're in Essex so I think you can actually walk on your water can't you? 400ish?

my tds is down to 200 in the pond, some of that will be the last of the salt i added before christmas, once its out its staying out, my tap water has been anywhere from 140 to 200 tds from the tap, if that helps convince you to move.

Hi Kimbo,
Hey 400 thats not to bad mate it always amazes me that you can go a few miles up the road and end up with such a difference either way
So anyone else want to tack a stab at it
So you guys that have been testing the TDS what is the difference between your TDS from your supply water and pond water and are you happy with it

520 from tap and 440 in pond. Only thing I notice is that blacks tend to fade a little in the summer.

Hi,
Now that seems a strange one being that many would say that you would have hard water with a TDS that high so i take it you have a high PH and this would mean you would have better luck with the blacks on your fish.
Does the pond get full sunlight in the summer or hot
