New Build

Well i decided to get the shovel out today and make a start, no room to get a mini digger in so i am going to shovel the lot out. Progress was a bit slow today as the little one wanted me to find him some wiggly worms..
It should be about 4,000 Gallons in total. I will be running a nexus 200 and from the skimmer an eazy pod with an aquamax 10,000 and the uv will be on the skimmer line.

Wait until you get to all were those lovely builders that built your house threw there Flint/Rock's/Bricks Ect before throwing the turf on top.I rekon about 2.5ft down

jason, is the log line across the garden a small step up. cos if so you could raise the end your digging by that amount... might save you a few inches of digging. and you can save money on disposal of that top soil.
remember never give up till you hit the depth you need... then dig another 12 inches.

Jason,
Why are you leaving so much grass in such a nice big garden? Already got plans for some more ponds?
I know how hard it is as mine was all hand dug into solid chalk and the spoil was carried through the house in bags as we couldn't get a wheel barrow through!
Good Luck with the build, it's well worth the effort at the end of the day.
