What size holes in my Spraybar

hi need a bit of help with this one i am making a spraybar for my new bakki shower and need to know the size, distance and ammount of holes i should drill into the bar it is a 3" bar fed by a 1.5" feed.
Advice??

Hi Stu,

If you can run 2" pipe work to the 3" spray bar then you get a better flow.

The holes can be 8 or 10mm and i have three rows one middle the two either side at an angle but the amount and size will depend on your flow rate and pump size. It may well be worth starting in 8mm and seeing how it goes as you don't want them to big.

I used 8mm holes for my first 1.5" spray bar but then I've slotted the second by joing two holes together. The only thing that matters IMHO is to make sure the pipe is smooth inside (otherwise loads of dirt catches on them and starts to restrict the flow) and that you have lots of outlets so you don't build up any backpressure in there. I always put a slot or holes on the top of the pipe too and then if water starts to bubble up out of them I know the holes are blocked or I don't have enough.
