Hi Dobber,

I think what you need to do is work out the cubic capacity from your ponds dimensions, LxWxD. Dependant on what system you measure in, English or foreign, (you can tell which age group I belong to,can`t you  ), that will give the figures for how much soil you need to fill the hole.

hi Chris

20' x 10' x 5' = 1000 what does that mean?

would you be able to work it out?

Cheers

i'd put my best estimate at 15 cubic meters
but you don't need to fill it with all soil. fill most of it with rubble/rubbish then wack it down and top it off with topsoil and turf.
