aquadyne bead filter

ihave a chance of buying a used aquadyne 2.2 bead filter. iam after opinions please from users of this filter.what size pump needed etc. was going to go with the econobead until this offer has come my way. aquadyne is twice the price brand new so i guess they must be good

Ron I run 2 x 8.8's and also have a 4.4 for winter to take over from the Bakki shower in the winter. Each system is fed via a sieve which takes out most of the solids. Drew at Koi Waterlife Centre has some new low wattage pumps that feed the Aquadynes without loss of flow. I can not recommend these filters enough for their ease of maintenance and quality and clarity of water. Without a shadow of a doubt BUY IT!
