Pond filling

I am sure its easy to calculate, i have a pond that holds 4000gals how much soil will i need to fill it? In square yards if possible

Hi Dobber

220 gallons = 1 cubic meter, so 4000 divided by 220 = approx 18 cubic meters.

Don't forget to remove the lining (or at least puncture it in a few places) or you'll end up with a permanent bog!

Thanks is that approximately the same as yards? as i am going to get a skip company to deliver soem skip soil.

18 cubic meters is about the same as 24 cubic yards - so 3 big skips!!!!
