Simply Koi and More Koi

Hi new here so sorry if its been asked before. My pond is of modest size of 1100 gals and have decided to use a carbon filter to purify my tap water from chorine. Could i make a simple filter myself as it seems only using a container with the activated carbon and replacing when expired? Thanks.
