bakki shower

Post by leechapman »

hi

well i am thinking of putting a bakki shower with bhm on our pond this summer  and using a pipe pump (30,000 l) to feed it and leaving the rest of my filters running as they are doing now i will leave the shower running 24/7 365 days but i am worried about heat loss in the winter the shower will be outdoors but i wiil cover with polycarbonate in the winter.

how do you cope with the heat loss in the winter does it make a big difference to it?

i am also thinking of taking of my 2 x 120 l air pumps which run the drains and changing to 40 on each drain i also have 2 x 80l running the 2 x nexus and with the shower will not need the 400l which i have now and the 240l with the shower will be more than enough air.

Hi Lee,

Go on do it you know you know you want to :D

I run my shower 24/7/365 and could not tell you how much extra it has cost but i think if you insulate them good enough its not as bad as some would make out.I am sure my gas/electric will go up as it does every year :D
