Hi Guys,
Im going to make up a set of fibreglass showers that will be a bit narrower than a normal shower but longer to give a similar size to a normal shower if that makes sense? I need it to be a bit thinner to fit into the space i have put aside for it. I think it will be about 1.2- 1.5 metre head height ( 4 tier)
Ive checked the aquamax 16000 at 1.5 metre for head loss, should run about 12000lph which i worked out to be about 2600gph, so with a pair should hopefully get at least 5000gph.
Im sure Daren had 16000 on his nexus with no problems-i know he had to throttle back a 16000 on a eazy pod. Ea say the max flow rate is 13000lph so should be ok.
I know the water from the nexus will be "clean filtered water" but i thought it would help to have the extra flow over the shower to help stop any crap settling and to help with the crashing effect. Also was hoping it may help with the nitrate levels and add some air to the water.
Do you think that sounds ok for a plan? Got the sieve dirt cheap (a real real bargain so couldnt resist)
Cheers Andy

Hi,
Some nice weather and a bit of progress! Will backfill over the next few evenings. Then dig footings for retaining walls, dig out filter bay and concrete over weekend, weather permitting of course!
After quick bit of maths will be looking at 5100 gallons plus filters

Hi,
I cant take the credit for the brickwork as i didnt do it
Thought it best to get the actual structural work completed by a proper builder
Im going to do all the filter house/retaining walls etc, beofre getting the final 3ft of the blockwork finished. Just ned some more nice weather to get things moving.

Hi Gazza,
So you like the shape then?
Not totally sure on depth yet-depends how high we come above ground. Was thinking about 3ft 6inch (water level 3ft above ground level) above ground which would give just over 6ft deep. We want to make sure we get the height right-very hard to picture how it will look-how high is yours above ground?
Am going to look into a long rounded window to stretch round the front wall-just trying to source the glass
