update on quarantine build should be ready for the glassing in a couple of days just waiting for the filler to dry on the kinspan and then tape the joints.
thinking of doing my own fiberglassing

have a friend from five acres koi who does glassing coming to start me off for the first hour or so.

Hi Lee
It all looks great and you seem to be able to work a heck of a lot tidier than I do. You've probably thought of it already, but just wondered if you were going to relieve the 90 degree wall and floor joints prior to fibreglassing - it is easier to apply without creating air gaps and gives much greater strength.
I did my own glassing on a similar sized project. Once you get into the swing of it the fibreglassing is fairly straightforward and quite an enjoyable job. Having said that if I wanted anything bigger than 2K gals glassed I would get a pro in. The only thing I struggled with was the tissue coat - when trying to handle it with gloves covered in resin it has a tendency to turn into a ball of filter wool! Also I didn't realise that it has a smooth and a rough side, which is probably why I had so many problems trying to keep it under control. Oh, and don't try to mix to much flowcote at as I did - it goes off quicker in bulk and starts to solidify before you can apply it (I wouldn't mix more than 2Kg at a time).
Pictures are a bit crap but this is what mine ended up looking like.

If you have any questions Matt from GRP gave me loads of brilliant advice prior to me starting the job.
Good luck
Jon
