they have a large step to get into them and we had been our for dinner.....and perhaps the odd beer and i needed to go in the night like you do well its dark strange place and all that creeping round so i don't awake Bob getting his beauty sleep and bang in i go 
I forgot about the step and opened the door and walked straight in....well feel straight in then i was half stuck in the bath with my feet stuck under the door that had closed on the backs of my legs
to say i had a bit of a struggle and may of made the odd bang was an understatement...so much for creeping to the toilet As Bob has pointed out some of these are great you just sit on them and some are even heated all nice and warm with buttons and knobs to play with...great fun but sometimes you could get the odd shock when you pushed or twisted the leaver the wrong way
