If glass went opaque that quick then everyone with an aqaurium would be pretty stuffed!

Sounds more like they dont sell windows and dont want you going to another dealer

The guys up at the Water Barn in Kent told me that a window isn't a good idea. (I told them I was going to put one in my new pond). Apparently it starts off looking great but soon starts to collect algae. Constant cleaning will lead to scratching of the glass surface and I'll end up with something that wont resemble the original beautiful window. In fact it will look s**t.

I have never heards such a lame excuse in all my life! I feel the need for a stiff drink to stop myself laughing so much :!:  All you need is a floating magnetic aquarium cleaner leave it situated in the top right or left corner of the window and you don't know it's there, the koi can't catch themselves on it and your window is clean with once a fortnight "sweep" of the window job done. Windows are also advantageous if you cover your pool in the winter as any "ulcers" that do appear can be seen quickly from below the water line. I am afraid that I don't fall into the koi should only be observed from above club as all my koi are pets and as such if there is any thing wrong I want to know about it. Also a window creates a distraction for children as they will approach the window to look at the koi instead of trying to climb the pool wall and risk falling in. Ask them how many windows they have fitted?
