How restricted is space? Most space efficient way of doing it is to just have a bottom drain feed pumped straight over a bakki shower sited on the pool side! However you've got no mechanical filtration then.

To improve that your bottom drain could feed into a sieve which is then pumped over the shower or you could build a small DIY easy or even fit a pod to handle the mechanical side of things.

My next pond is going to be skimmer and BD to sieve and then pumped over a shower to save space and maintenance time.

nexus easy would probably do the job ,,
they come in several sizes to suit your needs ,,
i built my own system as i had limited space also ,,
but unless you are really good with your hands and the laws of gravity , i would go nexus ,,
you defo need a bottom drain and a top skimmer to keep that size pool clear and safe for koi

hope i was of help
