cleaning tank

Post by amanda »

Hi guys.
got a tank at home to set up for new qt, how clean has it got to be before it can be lined with tissue and recoated?
Its made of fiber glass and hasnt been coated so it needs doing its thick with lime scale at the moment which needs to come off but it wont budge as we havnt got a pressure washer been trying with scrubbing brushes which is bl...y hard work.
Will we have to rub it down with sand paper?

Hi Amanda,

Yes i would suggest that you will have to give it a good rub down to make sure it will key to the tank correctly.
