Had a great day today, real busy though.

Spent most of it at Omosako's, which was fantastic. Then went back to Takigawa's and then an evening visit to a hobbyist 22,000 gallon pond.

Just had something to eat and am now crashing out, so pictures some time tomorrow.

Got to get up early to go to Ikkey aggey!!!!!!

Had promised myself that I wouldn't take the bait and get all excited about a showl of Koi fanciers travelling to Japan.

However, I find the Muppets on tour photos, all your postings and updates raises a wry smile. Keeping them coming, I for one enjoy reading them as much as I hope you do posting them. Well done thus far. :D

At Omosako today after 'some' deliberation we purchased this shiro

there was also some larger koi

and

Mike and Hiro decided on the ones they didn't like

inspecting the quality of the remaining koi

Hi Everyone, Muppets

Seeing Gregg in the mud pond was something I will not forget in a hurry. Mike, you better include that in any article you are doing - or I will! An amazing experience for anyone, when you are aged 15 and into Koi as much as Gregg is, it must be great.

Middle of nowhere, watching Gregg in the pond, the peace and quiet was spoilt by someone standing alone (who will remain nameless at this stage) breaking wind (at quite an alarming volume I must add), then shaking his legs!!!! I started laughing, then this little voice says "sorry, I forgot you were there.........." Hahahaha!!!!

The worse problem when seeing koi down south - is the travelling in between breeders, it's a killer sometimes, but you are made to feel extremely welcome when you do get to the dealers. And it gives you lots of time to chat/sleep/ride the roller coaster..............

The jet lag coming home is AWFUL!!! We went to bed last night at 9pm, and got got up at 4am!!! I'd like to say the smell of three packets of kippers three weeks out of date in the fridge woke us up, but they didn't - it really was the jet lag..............

The flight back was great - we upgraded to Premium economy for onlyy £249.00 per person (£400.00 per person on the way out) - well worth any penny normally, but the plane was half empty on the way back, people from premium were stretching out in normal economy across 4 seats! Muppets - check if the plane is full/how much the upgrades are, even the bulk head seats were empty! If we'd have known we would not have bothered paying the extra!

Glenn was really disspointed that he missed Omasaka.

Keeps up the good work Muppets!!

Koiette

xx

(And no I wasn't hung over in the very flattering picture of me asleep in the sun!)

9.16pm here.................

Fighting jet lag big time.

Been at work all day, nearly had a crash coming home.

Took 2 pets to the vets today, daughte screamed at me in the car about 5.30ish as I missed the turning, but some how made it.

Horrible, horrible jet lag.

6am and we are up and due off at 7. No chance for visiting the 'breakfast spot' today, will have to be a stop at the 7/11 shop for some refreshements on route. Takigawa first thing for a harvest, which should be good to see. The back to Takigawa's for a check on the stock.

On our way to Omosako's, Mike took the scenic route. This chap was coming towards us down the tiny road, couldnt stop in time and crashing into the small wall. We helped him up, then he crasshed over again, and we finally got him on his way. This was funny, Annette you'd have been in tears

Hi Bob

I'd have been in tears? Tears of joy I guess............. No having seen the driving I'd have been very upset and probably thrown a good old fashion paddy, got on a train and overdosed myself on egg sanwiches...................

I can't remember what I was writing now.............. I am so jet lagged, how I got home from work tonight (thank you by the way to the black audi driver sticking two fingers up at me though, an idicator would be nice or are you trying to be a bigger arse wipe that BMW drivers........... Sunshine, you are just a great ugly ponce in a car (an Audi for god sake)
trying to take the road over.................. unfortunately your car will never have the same respect as a BMW, for commanding the road................. the next in line is a BWM (a burst water main).

BMW or BWM, both cause havoc on the roads.... well worth trying to ignore and gettign way from.................

What was I writing about??? I really can't remember. What time is it in Japan? I know it is not time to go to bed yet, the tumble drier hasn't finished..................

I feel like putting on some music really LOUD, and having a dance................

(A while later)

All the cats and dogs are quede up looking at henny-penny, top bird who is ill. I know if I get my camera they will all move. Erin the german shepherd is whining at her.

Do they know if some of thier clan is ill? Do they care? Put a price on the way the German shepard come in and lays by the chicken who is ill................ the ............. As I write I have three cats, two dogs................ all sat by the chicken in the cat box............. all five animals have had ample opportunity to kill this chicken over the last six months........... none have..............

Respect, they all respect the chicken, It's part of the scene here. If that sounds nuts, then hey, I am happy sounding nuts............

Did anyone hear the pause for thought on BBC2 today, early morning.

It was so adapt. It talked about Japan and the buddist relegion.

Koiette

xx

so.............. It cost me £115 at the vets tonight,,,,,,,,,,,,, I really need to get a part time job...................

Photo's to follow later

Today we had an early start as we were due at Takigawa Koi Farm at 8am and our hotel was 45-minutes away.

Arrived roughly on time after stopping at the 7-11 shop for sandwiches on route.

Takigawa San and his 2 helpers were ready when we arrived and drove to the mud pond which was on the farm site. They soon had the net in the water and were heading for 10 of the 16 Sansai in the pond.

A few pictures here of the netting

02.15 here, just got back in, finally some pictures
